Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to work in our clinic.Lakeside Health centre 825 North service Road Stoney creek This individual will provide support to the clinical staff and management and plays a key role in the organization and flow of clinic operations.
Hours : The position is for 28 hours weekly include Saturday shift
**Responsibilities**:
Open and close the clinic daily
Book appointments, scan documents into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Answers, screens, and forwards telephone calls
Track patients’ referrals
Complete patient call-backs, appointment reminder calls, and appointment re-booking
Greet patients, assist in completing forms, show patients to exam rooms
Clinical duties: taking blood pressure, height & weight, etc.
Ordering Clinic medical supplies
Order Vaccines from Public health office and Monitored the expire dated of the stocked vaccine in the office
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer including, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) PS Suite EMR is preferable
High school diploma or equivalent with a related post-secondary certificate or diploma
Minimum of two years of medical office related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively managing his or her own time.
Organizational, time management and communication skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
Assets
Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) PS Suite EMR is preferable.
Experience working with culturally diverse clientele & colleagues
Knowledge of medical terminology
The hourly pay rate will be discussed at the interview
**PLEASE RESPOND WITH SALARY EXPECTATIONS**
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
