Medical Office Assistant

What Will You Be Doing?
Daily patient intake and registration.
Answer and respond to regular and frequent multiline phone calls as well as emails.
Monitor, track and follow up with patients to schedule incomplete and outstanding treatment.
Collect payment from patients for non-OHIP visit fees.
Daily clerical tasks such as, but not limited to: Managing patient bookings, assist with completion of referrals, scanning and faxing of medical records, collecting mail, managing petty cash, filing, archiving files, and maintaining inventory.
Gather, record and update medical, personal and insurance information from patients.
Maintain consultation rooms and waiting areas by keeping rooms tidy, sanitizing surface areas and stocking supplies, as needed.
Assist with obtaining patient measurements, as needed.
Ideal Experience/Qualifications:
At least one year of medical office assistant experience in a busy family practice.
Experience with OSCAR (preferred) or other electronic medical record software.
Medical Office Assistant certificate considered an asset.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to details.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time
