**Job description**

We are now hiring Full-time **Weekend Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant **to be based out of **St. Thomas Ontario** with the potential to work partly remotely in the future.

**Shift Details**:
Friday and Monday 8am - 5pm.
Saturday 6am - 2pm.
Sunday 8am - 4pm
On call Friday evening till Monday morning.
Option to rotate 1 weekend shift and on call to weekdays if desired once per month.

**Position Summary**:Responsible for checking on trucks and updating stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for approximately 7-10 hours of administrative work per week which will include invoicing and other miscellaneous tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing relationships with carriers, customers, shippers, and receivers to build personal and business reputation.
- Communicating with stakeholders throughout the shipment process.
- Working as a team to assist other dispatchers when required.
- Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification if required.

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be comfortable calling carriers and team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to learn from mistakes.
- Able to problem solve when issues arise.
- Takes ownership of work.
- Team player and works well with others.
- Experience with Outlook preferred.

Work Remotely

**Salary**: $38,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

- I understand this role is expected to work 3/4 weekends per month. I undertstand that when I am on call I will need to be available to answer questions or re-direct calls to other team members. The compensation for this role includes the time expected to be incurred while on call.
