About the Opportunity

As a key member of the Enhanced and Long-Term Care Operations within Shannex, this role will:
Be responsible to understand and manage the financial reporting, accounting, and analysis for various streams of funding
Provide cost and other financial analysis to the Regional Managers/Administrators and Divisional/Provincial Leadership to support business decisions
Work across the organization at various levels and support the Manager of Financial Reporting, Shannex Inc.
Coordinate the completion of the annual compliance for funding programs
Liaise with our teams to ensure accurate use and recording of restricted funds coming from Government and other sources
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on these funds, including information on forecasted spending

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
A University degree and has or is in the process of obtaining a CPA designation
At least two to five (2-5) years experience working in an accounting or finance role
Experience with fund accounting and/or deferred revenue is considered an asset
Proficiency with interpreting data in order to communicate business needs
Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficient knowledge of government funding, long term care, restricted and unrestricted funds from an operational and account perspective
