**SUMMARY**:This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). This position reports to the Festival Director and Festival Coordinator.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Create and maintain a list of volunteers, leading volunteer outreach.
- Supporting the Festival coordinator and programmers with on-site event support during live events including event kick-off, media launch and festival screenings.
- Create, disseminate, and collect the festival feedback survey post festival.
- Support or work in conjunction with Social Media & Communications Assistant as needed.
- Attend team meetings or events in an engaged way.
- Meet regularly with the festival team and festival board to organize priorities and give feedback.

**SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Proficient with Google Business Suite
- A people person who is positive, responsible, respectful, and enthusiastic
- Well-organized, works well under pressure and independently if needed, takes on projects simultaneously and autonomously.
- Excellent oral skills in English, French is highly desirable.
- Experience in arts administration, event management or the arts and culture sector would be considered an asset.
- Passionate about Ottawa’s independent filmmaking community an asset
- Have an active Employment Insurance (EI) claim **or**:

- Previously established an EI benefit period within the last five years **or**:

- Paid employee payroll premiums (EI premiums - Box 18 on your T4) in at least three of the previous ten years (where earnings have been at least $2K in each of those years **or**:

- Received the Employment Insurance Emergency Response benefit (CERB) within the previous five year

**NOTE 1**: Those registered in full-time academic studies are not eligible to be considered.

**Remuneration**:
$662 (gross) per week for 32 hours / $20.6875 per hour provided by the Province of Ontario.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.69 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1N 6Z9
