A Day in the Life of the Building of the Future **What you will do** - Under direction of the Channel Sales Manager, manage your book of business and partner with key and targeted customers to reach optimal sales levels - Be the "CEO" of your territory. - Strategically prospect for new key and target customers to grow incremental business and market share in your territory. - Recommend product solutions and links to customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage. - Work with senior sales executives to shadow, learn and perfect sales skills such as preparing for a customer meeting, running an effective and valuable customer meeting, developing, and deploying effective sales strategies, presenting etc. - Differentiate and leverage Johnson Controls product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls. - Create partnering opportunities with the principles responsible for the decision-making process. - Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns. - Understand the customer's business and speak their language. - Develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment. - Manage the ongoing sales process; anticipate and respond to customer needs including complete account management (AP/AR, tech support, and customer service assistance with direct support from relevant teams) - Involved in the development and execution of account sales. - Responsible for meeting assigned product sales goals and objectives. - Territory is British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba. - How you will do it - Using Johnson Controls account management principles and Playbook with assigned accounts, conducts quarterly strategic account review sessions, ensures that the customer fully understands and executes appropriate actions towards the co-developed sales plans to achieve the sales goals and objectives identified. - Engaging with key stake holders (Owners, Sales Manager(s), outside/inside sales, counter manager, and counter sales) - Price and Margin management - Store merchandising and maximizing of Johnson Controls product exposure, including indsutry and partner events - Support of National Account events or annual meetings as defined by the customer - Demand creation through joint calls on Controls and HVAC contractors - Continuous training and education efforts, throughout organization. **What we look for** **Required** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent sales and technical experience. - Minimum of 5+ years of either inside or outside sales experience ideally in the HVAC/Controls industry. - Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis. - Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Possesses excellent presentation skills and proficiency at making one on one and group presentations. - Able to travel a minimum of 50% across the territory. - Must be located in British Columbia, preferably Vancouver area.
