OOCL Customer Service department is vital in our organization, they maintain relationships, help solve challenges, create excellence through quality work, and learn valuable knowledge about all areas of logistics, they are a consultant to our customers and NOT just order takers.
Job duties (but not limited to):
- Accomplish all aspects of ocean, air, and landside operations, from pre-arrival administration to final delivery, in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries and service exceptions with effective communications with clients, origin offices, ocean carriers, brokers, and other vendors to provide updates and facilitate streamlined deliveries of shipments.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns. Being proactive, strategic around operational processes and design to obtain optimal results.
Preferred skills:
- The ability to focus on customer satisfaction and building great client relationships
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and Adobe.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and have strong organizational & analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to have, but not required:
- Minimum 3 recent years' experience in ocean transportation with a leading NVOCC/ Freight Forwarder preferred.
- Proficiency with all major ocean carriers' online booking and tracing platforms
