IAA, Inc., a leading provider of loss recovery services to the insurance industry in Canada, has an opening for a Accounting Clerk at our Corporate office in Mississauga, ON.

This opportunity will be a one year contract. Further details will be provided upon interviewing.

IAA's national service offering allows sellers to standardize processes across the country and provides buyers with Canada's most extensive selection of salvage vehicles. The Accounting Clerk position ensures processing of vendor invoices, payments, customer and buyer receivables, voided checks, processing refunds, account credits, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and local, provincial or federal laws.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide accurate and timely processing and disbursement of vendor obligations.
- Provide accurate and timely processing and disbursement of auction site accounts payable.
- Ensure payments are not processed without the appropriate approvals.
- Interact with corporate and auction site management to address vendor payment issues, compliance issues, or other topics that impact the effective and efficient processing of vendor obligations.
- Prepare mail/courier to ensure payments are delivered on a timely basis.
- Process Buyer A/R payments.

**Required Skills**:

- Post secondary education in accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years experience in accounts payable/receivable processing
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. French an asset.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Experience with Great Plains, Buyer Quest, Microsoft Office
