About the Role

Our client a
well-established company
in the logistics sector is currently seeking a
detail-oriented Accounting Clerk
to join their team. This is a
temp-to-perm opportunity
with potential for long-term employment for the right candidate. You'll be working in a
small office environment
, assisting with the company's accounting functions and collaborating with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing:
    Low volume, approximately 5 invoices per day invoices per week)
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    Manage AP/AR transactions
  • Invoice Auditing:
    Ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Excel Reporting:
    Create and manage invoices using Excel
  • Client Communication:
    Provide clear and professional communication with clients and internal teams
  • General Assistance:
    Support other departments as needed
  • Warehouse Access:
    Safety shoes required for occasional visits to warehouse areas

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a logistics or transportation environment
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
    , specifically with invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • QuickBooks proficiency
  • Intermediate Excel skills
    (required for invoice creation)
  • Clear and respectful communication skills
  • Local to Mississauga
    with
    reliable transportation
  • Ability to work on-site in a small office environment
  • Safety shoes
    required for occasional warehouse visits
