**POSITION OVERVIEW**
- dormakaba is seeking an Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist based in its Montreal, QC manufacturing facility. The EHS Specialist plays a key role in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This individual will collaborate across departments, working closely with supervisors and plant personnel to ensure EHS policies and procedures are understood, implemented, and consistently followed throughout the facility.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Design and execute Environment Health & Safety programs and operating procedures
- Plan, organize, and facilitate EHS training sessions and awareness activities for employees
- Actively contribute to health and safety committee meetings and support environmental initiatives
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measures
- Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by the EHS Manager to help departments meet safety and environmental goals

**WHAT WE REQUIRE**
- College degree in industrial hygiene, environmental studies, occupational health and safety or any other related field
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment
- Practical knowledge of EHS legislation and standards

**WHAT WE PREFER**
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance and support on EHS matters
- Track record of staying current with evolving standards
- Proven experience working in a continuous improvement setting, with a focus on evolving EHS standards, policies, and regulatory compliance
- Perfectly bilingual in both English and French - The incumbent must work with a global multidisciplinary team

- dormakaba recherche un spécialiste en santé, sécurité et environnement (SSE) pour son usine de fabrication de Montréal, au Québec. Le spécialiste SSE joue un rôle clé dans la promotion d'un milieu de travail sécuritaire, sain et respectueux de l'environnement. Il collaborera avec différents services et travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les superviseurs et le personnel de l'usine afin de s'assurer que les politiques et procédures SSE sont comprises, mises en œuvre et respectées de manière cohérente dans l'ensemble de l'usine.

**VOS MISSIONS**
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des programmes et des procédures opérationnelles en matière d'environnement, de santé et de sécurité.
- Planifier, organiser et animer des sessions de formation et des activités de sensibilisation à l'EHS pour les employés.
- Contribuer activement aux réunions du comité de santé et de sécurité et soutenir les initiatives environnementales.
- Diriger les enquêtes sur les incidents et les accidents sur le lieu de travail, identifier les causes profondes et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives et préventives.
- Assumer des responsabilités supplémentaires selon les instructions du responsable EHS afin d'aider les services à atteindre leurs objectifs en matière de sécurité et d'environnement.

**CE QUE NOUS EXIGEONS**
- Diplôme universitaire en hygiène industrielle, études environnementales, santé et sécurité au travail ou tout autre domaine connexe.
- Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans un environnement industriel.
- Connaissance pratique de la législation et des normes EHS.

**CE QUE NOUS PRÉFÉRONS**
- Expérience avérée dans le domaine du conseil et de l'assistance en matière d'EHS.
- Capacité avérée à se tenir au courant de l'évolution des normes.
- Expérience avérée dans un environnement d'amélioration continue, axé sur l'évolution des normes, des politiques et de la conformité réglementaire en matière d'EHS.
