**YOUR PROFILE**

You have in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations in Quebec as well as experience in obtaining environmental permits and in site environmental monitoring. **YOUR CONTRIBUTION**
Upon your arrival, you will support the Varennes Carbon Recycling (VCR) project team in obtaining permits, managing environmental projects and monitoring environmental compliance. Report to the ESG & Sustainable Innovation Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team while enriching your career and working on one of the largest green projects in Quebec that uses Enerkem's unique technology.
Your role and responsibilities will be:
- Manage the commitments provided for in the permits already obtained
- Manage environmental projects related to the VCR project
- Ensure an environmental monitoring role on the VCR construction site (visit to the Varennes site minimum twice a month)
- Ensure regulatory monitoring for the VCR project
- Manage external consultants who support the environmental aspects of the VCR project (and other Enerkem projects elsewhere in the world)
- Implement environmental management processes in anticipation of plant operation
- Represent the VCR project to stakeholders (such as governments, program managers, clients, etc.) regarding environmental affairs
**Qualifications**:
**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, master's degree in environment or equivalent university education
- A minimum of five years of work experience in the environmental management of industrial projects in Quebec (and elsewhere in the world, an asset)
- In-depth knowledge of Quebec's Environmental Quality Act
- Experience working with government and regulatory bodies
- Experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry (an asset)
**YOUR SKILLS**
- Project management
- Autonomous, resourceful and rigorous
- Excellent writing and synthesis skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel in particular
- Knowledge of air and water treatment processes (an asset)
- ASP certification (an asset)
- Bilingual (French and English)
