We are growing our Sales team and we want a driven individual who is passionate about food.
**Position Summary**
The Account Manager is responsible to maintain current client relationships and seek out and conduct business development activities to ultimately increase the number of Prairie Meats clients and sales in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan. This position is also responsible for staying up to date on product pricing, offerings, market information for sourcing clients and internal production levels to offer the best possible service to clients.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service to your clients
- Work with clients to set schedules and order quantities
- Introduce new products to existing clients
- Prospect new clients by building positive relationships and presenting the value of Prairie Meats products and services
- Qualify customers for the mutual benefit of the parties involved
- Order entry and sales administration
- Maintain client trust by keeping confidentiality
**Skills and Competency Requirements**
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients, prospective clients and internal staff
- Ability to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with client and potential clients
- Ability to provide excellent customer service including identifying customer needs and matching them to company business needs
- Work independently while following instructions and guidelines
- Be an effective team player to achieve set out goals and contribute to a positive workplace. This includes open communications with Prairie Meats LP staff and management.
- Follow health and safety rules and practices
**Knowledge, Experience, Education, and Additional Requirements**
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a sales or business development environment maintaining accounts and/or sourcing new clients
- Knowledge of various meat and meat related products
- Experience in the food service industry would be considered an asset
- Must have a valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle
- Willing to travel to help expand business
