Research & Data Student

What You’ll Be Working On

Our internships and co-ops are designed to provide you with multiple business relevant projects that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for a 4-month position starting in May 2025 with the option to extend. This position will be based out of Calgary, AB or Mississauga, ON.

Responsibilities:
Support the execution and implementation of the following initiatives:
Research & Data Gathering:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to better understand market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities- Interpret complex datasets to identify patterns and insights to inform white papers and future campaigns- Support with industry trend analysis and recommendations for website, social media, and brand presence- Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to drive strategic decision-making and improvements- Track and analyze performance of website, marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, and internal communications- Assist in monitoring and evaluating business performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement

Reporting:
- Develop data-driven content such as reports, white papers, case studies, and presentations which can be used for thought leadership- Leverage Power BI to develop and maintain dashboards to visualize key campaign metrics and track performance- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data findings in a clear and meaningful manner for business stakeholders

Who We Need On Our Team- You are currently a third-year or fourth-year student enrolled in a post-secondary degree in Business, Business Analysis, Information Technology, Data Science, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline.- You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel and Power BI- Experience in creating professional PowerPoint presentations that align with corporate brand standards- Exemplify the Ideal Team Player - Hungry, Humble, Smart- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
