Accommodations are available during the hiring process, upon request.- The Business & Data Analyst Student will support Calgary Transit's Business Strategy team to research, develop, and implement strategic and continuous improvement initiatives that help achieve the long-term goals of Calgary Transit. This will include:
- Conduct research, including data analysis and industry best practices, related to Transit operations.
- Document processes and procedures, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze and visualize data using Microsoft Excel or PowerBI to identify trends.
- Assist Business Strategists in the development of reports, presentations, and memos.
**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Business Administration, Commerce, Geography or related program.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
- Proficiency in Visio and Power BI would be considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking, effective time management and collaborative attitude to teamwork.
**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $28.88 per hour
- Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
