Financial Analyst

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst, supporting our different business units.

**About The Role**

Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing insightful value-added analysis to executive management team, mainly focusing on the Westburne banner.

**What You Will Do**
- The position is a key role in the Corporate Finance team and is accountable for the preparation of the Westburne banner financial analysis, along with the development of banner head office forecast, in addition to Banner review of budgets and forecasts
- Support the Banner Vice President in analyzing divisional performance and assisting senior management in decision making, such as:

- Assist with financial analysis, strategic planning and investigate root causes
- Collect and analyze data, key trends and metrics to better understand business drivers and financial results; provide new analysis initiatives
- Identify divisions’ best practices and potential areas of opportunities to achieve national goals
- Work with the Business Intelligence tool as a means to analyze results
- Identify improvement projects aligned with business strategies to change business operations, processes and functions to maximize corporate efficiency
- Interacting regularly with other Finance, Executives and senior managers in head office and divisions
- Explain variances to targets, budget, forecast
- Provide value-added analysis to support decision making and benchmarking
- Assess sub-segment profitability and identify action plans

**Who Are You**
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- Accounting designation (CA,CMA, CGA)
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Experience with Cognos TM1 and Business Intelligence (BI) is an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to think outside-the-box
- Strong business acumen (ability to write technical reports and routine correspondence)
- Project driven
- Able to adapt to change and see opportunities to make change
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment
