**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Overview**:Financial Analyst reports and supports the Assistant Controller to provide accurate and timely preparation and analysis on various deliverables and accounts such as group reports, stand alone financial statements, gross margin, accruals and deferrals. The Financial Analyst will also be involved in building and implementing accounting and finance models that will be useful in financial analysis of ETG Commodities and its subsidiaries.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Provide day to day support in forecasting, reporting and analysis of financial data and other operations as necessary to meet the business needs
- Prepare and analyze month-end accruals and deferrals
- Prepayment reconciliation and amortization and prepare supporting journals
- Preparing monthly group reporting packages
- Analyze weekly and monthly results (KPI)
- Provide support by running various reports in ERP
- Assisting in preparation of stand alone monthly financial statements
- Preparing journal entries in scope of responsibilities
- Provide support to budget process
- Perform ad-hoc project that focusses on margin analysis that may be required by management
- Communicate to other departments any discrepancies/issues that may be found in transactional data that may affect the accuracy and effectiveness of any margin analysis model.
- Provide solutions to any issues encountered.
- Other: support the Assistant Controller
- Work in compliance with ETG’s Occupational Health and Safety policy

**Employment Qualification and Requirements**:

- Completion of degree in accounting/finance
- Minimum 1 to 5 years experience as a Financial Analyst
- Working towards CPA designation is an asset
- Advanced MS excel skills are required
- Related business experience is a strong asset
- Experience in working with multi-currency/ multi-entity setting is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work within a dynamic fast-paced work environment
- Ability to lead team is an asset
