Base pay range CA$40.00/hr - CA$50.00/hr Direct message the job poster from IFG - International Financial Group Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) – External Reporting (3-Month Contract) Location: West End | Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site) Start: Immediate | Term: Initial 3 months with possibility of extension Our client, a well-established and reputable organization located in the West End, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) – External Reporting to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with and report directly to the Manager, Financial Reporting, supporting critical month-end, consolidation, and external reporting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is looking to deepen their technical accounting expertise, gain broader exposure to corporate reporting, and contribute meaningfully within an established and collaborative accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Monthly & Quarterly Reporting Lead the preparation of monthly financial results and create the comprehensive monthly reporting package presented to Senior Leadership. Ensure all reporting deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with IFRS and internal policies. Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance explanations, and performance metrics across multiple business units. Consolidations & Journal Entries Prepare and post complex journal entries, including accruals, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments. Manage the monthly consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring data integrity and adherence to Company accounting policies. Maintain and improve consolidation templates and reporting tools where required. Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Schedules Track the ongoing financial performance of several entities and ensure related schedules fully reconcile to the Balance Sheet. Investigate and resolve discrepancies proactively to maintain quality and accuracy in financial data. Maintain supporting documentation for audit and internal control purposes. Ad-Hoc Analysis & Support Provide analytical support to the Accounting and Finance teams on special projects and ad-hoc requests. Assist with process improvements, documentation updates, and enhancements to reporting efficiency. Support the Manager, Financial Reporting, in preparing materials for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience CPA designation (completed or close to completion). Minimum 3 years progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a corporate reporting, external reporting, or audit environment. Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of IFRS. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and comfort working in a deadline-driven environment.
