You will take the lead in service calls and work as a mentor to the assistant Labourer or Roofer. The Foreman will problem solve and think analytically in identifying and fixing building leaks. Ongoing communication will be done with both the Service and Maintenance Foreman and Coordinator.

**Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Utilize clear lines of communication and treat others with dignity and respect
- Provide guidance and support to the designated work partner
- Ensure company vehicle is in safe operating condition and is equipped with the required tools and equipment for each job
- Drive the company vehicle in a safe manner consistent with the GPS safety mechanisms
- Handle, transport, and store roofing chemicals in a safe manner to eliminate health and safety risks in workers
- Ensure all tools are in proper working condition and that they are transported and stored in a safe manner
- Responsible for the safe use of all power tools
- Conduct building inspections in partnership with clients
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate
- Demonstrated ability to teach skills and work effectively with others
- Good observation skills and problem-solving abilities
- Working knowledge of a variety of roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, SBS, PVC, Tar & Gravel)
- Ability to match roofing systems with the appropriate tools and products needed to repair roofs for a solid fix
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own
- Proven ability to make sound, independent decisions based on knowledge and imagination
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary leadership and customer service
- Exhibit positive and effective interactions with clients
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy roofing materials
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb ladders, scaffolding and stairwells

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum 7 years roofing experience in all types of commercial roofing
- Minimum one year of employee supervision experience
- Red Seal or Apprenticeship as a Roofer, Damp and Water proofer is an asset
- Working knowledge of a variety of roofing systems
- Valid BC Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract Hours of Work
- This position requires 40 hours of work a week
- This position may involve evening and weekend work
- Overtime hours may be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $48.00-$52.00 per hour
