Who We Are:
Located in Niagara Wine Country, Our WINE SHOP & SNACK BAR is the kind of destination where you can spend a leisurely afternoon or evening exploring new wines from Niagara’s largest selection of VQA & International wines, enjoy a glass or two of wine, cocktails, and some tapas, oysters or stock up for a dinner party at home. Our chic & welcoming atmosphere encourages socializing with friends and fellow wine and spirit lovers. Most of our food is sourced from our own 4 acre farm on a daily basis providing maximum freshness to our Basque Cuisine.
All deserts are locally and seasonally inspired. All of our breads are natural sourdough using a 26 year old starter and wood fired oven. One of our owners is a former pastry instructor from the Stratford Chef’s School and helps mentor and train up and coming talent. We have a long standing commitment to artisan sourdough bread production and have never had commercial yeast in the building for almost 20 years
The Job:
The PASTRY CHEF & ARTISANAL BAKEER works with the Chef de Cuisine and Cullinary Team to set, meet and exceed the goals of the business. The CHEF effectively balances all areas of the pastry and bread production of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Artisanl Bread Production
Creating, Implementing and maintaining a pastry menu
Help maintain our standing as an industry leader
Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all policies and procedures
Skills & Requirments:
3+ years of working in food service
Baking experience
Pastry experience
Sweet knowledge
strong organizational and time management skills
