Junior Social Media Specialist

Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is looking for a passionate **Junior Social Media Specialist** to join our Marketing Team and create a seamless visual experience spanning all our digital and physical content.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement social media strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Create engaging social media content that resonates with the brand’s target audience and drives engagement for all company platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and others.
- Manage social media accounts and oversee daily social media operations, including content planning, posting, and community management.
- Analyze social media data to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to improve engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Events, Product, Sales, Engineering Services) to ensure brand consistency across all social media channels.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for the brand
- Research: Take initiative to thoroughly understand Giatec’s content topics to produce engaging content/campaigns. Track and monitor competitors, as well as best practices to provide suggestions on how to improve marketing efforts.
- Other content and marketing tasks as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- One (1) to three (3) years of social media experience in B2B communications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong written and oral communication abilities
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Highly organized and task/detail oriented
- Time management skills with a high ability to multitask
- Self-motivated independent worker, with the ability to take direction and meet tight deadlines
- Learning mentality, eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in research and is a life-long learner
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of WordPress, HubSpot, and Social Media scheduling software considered an asset
- An aptitude for creativity with an initiative to implement it into your work is an asset in this role
