**Job Information**

THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a ERP Data Analyst at our BC office.

**Position Summary**:
The Data Analyst reports to the Financial Controller and is a team player who responsible for analyzing large sets of data, developing visually appealing and informative reports using SQL, Power BI, MS D365 and assisting with data migration projects.

**Contract length: 3-month**

**Working Hours**:

- 16 hours per week between 8:00AM to 7:30PM, Monday to Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools. (e.g., Power BI, SaaS VA, MS D365 Management Reporter, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable technology solutions.
- Understand of data privacy and security requirements.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage and support project implementation, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and compliance requirements.
- Provide training and change management support to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.

**Requirements/ Must-Haves**:

- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- You have knowledge/experience in:

- Drawing conclusions and provide actionable insights to encourage data -driven decision making
- Managing a project, and ensuring deliverables are made
- Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, machine learning, and automation.
- Power BI and/or MS D365 experience would be considered an asset
- AI and predictive analytics for pricing and marketing strategies.
- Software development (experience with APIs, databases, automation is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in pricing models, revenue management, and marketing analytics.
- Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into business recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables charts and advanced formulas.
- Experience in using SQL, Python, R, SAS, or other query languages to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Assets/ Nice-to-Haves**:

- Industry Experience:

- Previous experience in the food wholesale industry is preferred.
- Project Experience:

- Projects involving ERP system changes, changing year-end dates, or consolidating companies’ accounting data.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities, such as cost savings analysis and zero-loss analytics is a plus.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Expected Hourly Wage: $25.00 to $30.00
