We are currently seeking a Asset Management Analyst - Software (SAM) - FTR - Telework to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).
Purpose of Position
The Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for tracking software license entitlements in the Asset Database, monitoring application usage to identify opportunities for removal of unused software and managing software license compliance. The software entitlement data captured from Vendor purchase reports and Enterprise Agreement reconciliation will be leveraged to configure and update license counters providing the customer with accurate license compliance reporting, therefore detailed knowledge of various software license models and product use rights for major Publishers is required. The position deals with client enquiries and provides a variety of internal and customer reports as required. This service enables the client to monitor software license compliances, procure licenses accordingly as required, and benefit from cost savings through removal of unused software. The position is responsible for meeting contractual service level requirements and service level objectives.
Accountabilities
- Monitors hardware and Software inventory for all the client's computer assets.
- Updates and maintains records in the Asset Database from initial data capture of asset information through to asset disposal.
- Records and tracks hardware and software acquisitions, installations, replacements, upgrades, moves, transfers, storage, disposal, theft, and warranty replacements.
- Software asset management activities include creating, updating, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining software licenses in asset management database, as well as monitoring application usage, and reporting compliance of software usage
- Through licenses management, highlight opportunities to target unused or restricted SW for reclamation.
- Analyze client contracts, In-depth Knowledge of major publishers (Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Autodesk etc) in order to establish areas of risk and Software License Compliance Position for the clients.
- Having Experience in License optimization & re-harvesting.
- Interact directly with clients and other internal and external sources to obtain relevant data and documents in required forms and consistent with project objectives and deadlines
- Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow-up directly clients appropriately to achieve necessary understanding and to resolve the Licensing anomalies
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of customer requirements.
- Software Asset Management related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- 1 year + End to End Software License Life Cycle Experience including Knowledge and experience with end user software licenses for vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk etc.
- Strong Excel and Dashboard skills
- Experience in industry-leading SAM tools such as Flexera/ServiceNow-SAM Pro/SNOW preferred.
