Logistics Administrator/operation Assistant

The Logistics Administrator/Operations Assistants are extremely organized and great team players. Their focus is on coordination, communication and tracking of orders and shipments. They are also key in inventory control and customer satisfaction through their organized efforts. Our Logistics Administrator/Operations Assistants work together when needed, but are each responsible for their own orders, and report to the logistics fulfilment supervisor.
**Responsibilities**
- Sources freight quotes and track freight availability
- Plans shipment schedules based on orders, routes, and freight availability
- Prepares shipping documents (i.e. customs invoices, packing lists and bills of lading, etc.)
- Tracks orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicates with customers about the status of their orders
- Implements supply chain procedures to maximize quality of delivery
- Maintains updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers
- Coordinates with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
- Assists with logistics coordination as required
- Maintains inventory management software (IMS) data
- Identifies areas for improvement and assists with coordination of logistics policies, procedures, support plans, etc.
- Other related duties as required
**Required Skills**:
- 2 year of experience working in logistics management or coordination
- Great geographic knowledge of Canada and the USA
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Effectively manages priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Working knowledge of Shopify E commence platform, NetSuite or other cargo management software (preferred)
**Work Hours**: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent
**Annual Salary Range**: $48,000 - $53,000 + company benefits
