**Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Help with meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
**Skills**
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food service industry.
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all meals meet quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
