**Job Summary**

**Purpose**: The role of the Maintenance Technician - General is to oversee and maintain the residential and commercial properties portfolio, ensuring that they are kept safe, tidy, operational and in good shape for the use of tenants.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the properties to ensure they meet company standards, log pertinent data in company established checklists, and reporting accordingly to the Operations Manager.
- Conduct miscellaneous maintenance repairs such as repairs to drywall, doors, minor plumbing, minor mechanical, minor electrical, painting, replacing light bulbs, and general site work identified during daily rounds or as assigned by Operations Manager.
- Implement facility management plans for all properties and ensure maintenance scheduled is maintained for all properties.
- Supervise and review work completed by contractors and vendors.
- Conduct required regular readings of power, water and gas service meters.
- Perform routine regular inspections of the various units within the residential portfolio to ensure adherence to the company’s policies and standards.
- Ensure the properties are in a safe and clean condition, including minor snow and ice removal from sidewalks, minor landscaping and light janitorial (when needed).
- Respond and resolve tenant concerns in an effective and timely manner
- Respond to tenant requests by performing reviews and light repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing systems.
- Assist vendors and contractors with access to the properties, as required.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience as handyman/maintenance technician.
- Knowledge of construction and general trade knowledge for proper maintenance and repair tasks
- Able to lift 50lb, climb ladders, and walk long distances.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years of maintenance-related work experience
- Facility operations and maintenance management abilities
- Proficiency with building equipment and building systems
- Superior customer service and relationship building skills
- Client relationship management abilities
- Licenses and professional accreditation are preferred
- Valid Alberta driver’s license required.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
