Job Summary

The
Mechanical Technician
is responsible for ensuring the
on-time delivery of equipment
in line with operational demands. This role focuses on improving
maintenance efficiency
,
asset utilization
, and
people productivity
within the Maintenance Base (MB).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned equipment according to the relevant
    maintenance program
    and
    reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategy
    , adhering to the
    Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
    and standard work practices.
  • Ensure transactional discipline in
    Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems
    , accurately recording:
  • Materials and supplies
  • Labor costs
  • Equipment maintenance performance (movements, work orders, parts used, maintenance time)
  • Comply with
    TLM Product Line standards
    .
  • Participate in the
    continuous improvement culture
    , initiatives, and improvement plans within the MB to enhance
    asset utilization
    and
    cost of service delivery (CoSD)
    .
  • Support efforts to improve
    asset turnaround time
    , including reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts availability, failures, and work-in-process.
  • Contribute to
    efficiency and productivity improvements
    for Maintenance Technicians.
  • Implement
    CoSD projects
    , such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Participate in
    failure investigations
    as assigned.
  • Comply with the
    TLM Competency Management System
    .

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience as a
    mechanical technician
    or similar maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of
    equipment maintenance programs
    ,
    RCM strategies
    , and
    CMMS systems
    .
  • Strong attention to
    accuracy and transactional discipline
    .
  • Ability to participate in
    continuous improvement initiatives
    .
  • Familiarity with
    CoSD projects
    and maintenance efficiency practices.
