**Consumption and Treatment Site (CTS) - 150 Duke Street West, Kitchener**
Sanguen employs a team of Nurses, Peer Support Workers, Social Support Workers and Administrative staff to operate the CTS main site. The team supports community members as they use their own pre-obtained drugs. Clients receive safer injection education/support, are monitored for adverse reactions, and receive overdose and emergency response as necessary. Clients also receive basic primary care including injection drug use issues, education and testing for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, and referrals to other health and social service providers.
**Summary of the Role**
The Administrative Support Worker provides orientation, registration, support, and resources to individuals accessing the CTS, provides administrative support to the site Manager, and acts as a member of the CTS team. They will work and serve clients using harm reduction approaches. The Administrative Support Worker is a member of the person-centered, inter-professional, team of health providers at Sanguen Health Centre.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet and register clients, assist with completion of intake documentation.
- Reinforce site protocols, monitor areas outside of the site as needed.
- Provide harm reduction supplies and information to clients.
- Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries.
- Enter and maintain accurate data and information related to service delivery.
- Assist with ordering office, harm reduction, and medical supplies.
- Coordinate deliveries, repairs, and other ongoing site needs.
- Assist with scheduling of staff (ensuring shifts are filled, finding coverage for sick/leaves, etc.).
- Assist with coordinating partners’ use of space within the site.
- Provide administrative support to the Site Manager.
- Participate in evaluation processes related to the CTS and people accessing the services.
- Participate with all staff in completing bathroom checks and cleaning between client use.
- Participate with all staff in general duties, such as preparing recycling/garbage, maintaining adequate stock of supplies at reception, etc.
- Work as an active member of the CTS Team.
- Other administrative tasks as required.
**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience working with people who use drugs and people who are vulnerable, living in poverty, and/or experiencing homelessness.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products and Google products (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).
- Fast, accurate data entry skills.
- Understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and cultural safety.
- Working knowledge of a wide variety of community resources especially those related to drug use, homelessness and mental health issues.
- De-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent professional boundaries, ability to maintain confidentiality of clients and staff.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Past or current lived experience with substance use is an asset.
