Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to an individual who lives independently. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to caregiving and possess relevant experience or a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives and know the area.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities general housekeeping.
  • Support with schedules and personal appointments.
  • Maintain open communication with family.
  • Support with meal preparation and planning.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
  • Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to care plans established by healthcare professionals

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care, caregiving, and working with people with disabilities
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic skills in meal preparation and medication administration are advantageous
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends may be required
