**About Us**
We're a team focused, modern private practice offering unparalleled support to our therapists. You can find us at empirepsych.ca
- Please note this is in person position. You must be able to commute in person to our office, with your commute not exceeding ~30 minutes._
**The Basics**
- You'll be joining a team of eleven in full time group practice.
- This position starts as part time at 5-10 weekend hours per week, with the opportunity to increase up to 25 hours per week.
- This is a turn key position, I provide office space, all clients, admin staff, training.
- You will have incredible support. An admin on site, case review, team meetings and case review, free case consultations with me, training in attachment integrated practice, and access to our training library.
- Career opportunity: Moving forward, the option will be provided to move to a full time permanent role with up to 25 hours per week
**Clinic Vision**
We're attachment focused, meaning we believe that the experiences we have with our attachment figures play a significant role in mental health. There's a lot of focus on conceptualizing mental health issues from an attachment based lens, and approaching cases using this framework.
It's really important that this is something you're interested in if you want to join our team. You don't need to know a lot about attachment (or even a little), you just need to be passionate about therapy and interested in incorporating attachment into your work.
**Our Culture**
- I value and support employees. Lots of companies say this but don't honour it. I genuinely care about both your well being and professional goals. Want to learn a new modality? Develop a retreat? Put out an online course? Work with specific issues in your practice? Need help with a difficult case? No problem
- We learn and train together, hang out together, and grow the clinic together. First and foremost I'm looking for someone who fits with our team.
- We believe in improving the practice of psychotherapy. Everyone here uses a combination of data, client feedback, supervision, peer support, and training to improve. We are looking for therapists who are open to reflecting on their practice, engaging in professional development, and growing as clinicians.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide effective psychotherapy, including clear case conceptualization and treatment planning
- Maintain a high standard of session notes
- Grow and improve your practice using advanced data and feedback to reflect on and improve your clinical skills
- Attend our weekly team meeting, present cases, give/receive feedback on cases
- Develop your understanding of cutting edge attachment theory and integrate it into your work
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
- Master's in Counselling or equivalent degree
- Registered Social Workers (MSW) will also be considered if experienced in private practice
- Availability to work evening or weekend hours
- Able to commute to our office in Hamilton in under 30 minutes
- Clinical Skills_
- Experience with adults
- Experience with couples
- Familiarity with a couple's modality like EFT or Gottman
- Familiarity in an individual modality like CPT or REBT
- Interest in attachment theory
- Case formulation, treatment planning, and ability to communicate this with clients
- Ability to handle a caseload of up to 25 client hours per week
- Soft Skills_
- Down to earth, warm, relatable, easy to talk to
- A people person good at building rapport and connecting with others
- Other spoken languages a plus
- Strong interest in learning and continued professional development
**In Summary**
I think we have a really cool team - everyone here is super warm and welcoming and you'll have great support. I'm looking for a few therapists to join us at the start of the new year, as our current therapists are developing wait lists that are a bit too long. We're busy and your caseload will be full, even if you're not a private practice pro (a student therapist started here last month and she's booked solid until the new year).
After 5 years of running a group clinic, I know what works and how to help therapists establish a thriving practice here. All I need from you is a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and to use the systems and tools we give you here.
**To Apply**
If this sounds good to you, I would love to hear from you. Please send me your resume and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
