**Role Overview**

The role of the Operations Coordinator is to ensure efficient and free flow of shipments inbound and outbound. This person is responsible for working with the Sales Representatives to determine delivery schedules and is responsible for ensuring orders are shipped in full and on time using the most efficient method to meet timelines, customer service needs and cost factors. It is the responsibility of the Operations Coordinator to nurture and further develop relationships with Axiom delivery vendors to ensure that Axiom Surface Protection receives the best service possible. The Operations Coordinator recognizes that providing expedient quality service is crucial to successfully serving our current and future clients.

**This is primarily a Warehouse based Operations position.**

**Primary Responsibilities**

**OPERATIONS SUPPORT**
- Strategically manage the local and remote warehouses in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
- Co-ordinate warehousing and distribution operations including Warehouse Support
- Regular service and pricing review and negotiation with remote warehouses
- Regular service and pricing review and negotiation with shipping vendors
- Ensure efficient space utilization in all warehouses
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided by remote warehouses
- Documentation and remediation of damaged products, defective materials, freight claims, etc.
- Coordinate freight bookings and send shipping confirmation to receiving customers on all outgoing orders
- Daily review with Sales Representatives of all outbound shipments for the past week to ensure on time deliveries
- Review and management of all backorders
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
