If you want to help transform the Canadian post-secondary education landscape and shine a light on academic excellence, please join us. **Who we need**: The **_Student Life Coordinator_** supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of a variety of programs designed to promote the engagement of our students. This role promotes school community development, retention, students’ personal growth, acclimation to campus community, and development and oversight of student clubs, sports, and societies. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that can make a true difference in our students’ lives. **What you will do**: - Planning, implementing, and assessing various on and off-campus co-curricular events. - Coordinating, promoting, and facilitating all Student Life activities. - Supervising and coordinating the student ambassador program. - Lead workshops promoting positive mental health, food security and inclusion. - Engaging with students regularly to ensure a positive student experience. - Provide ongoing training and professional development for all student employees. - Coaching Student Ambassadors in the use of online platforms, including but not limited to: Zoom, Instagram Live, & Discord. - Developing marketing, digital content, promotional materials for student life programming - Ability to accurately record interaction data across platforms and services. - Advising and development of clubs, sports, and societies. - Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with various stakeholders. - Making referrals to appropriate resources and services. - Coordinate with relevant staff to ensure campus and off-site events have adequate resources and safety protocols. **What you bring**: - Bachelor's degree from a recognizable institution (preference will be given Master holders). - Recent direct experience working and liaising with post-graduate level students. - Experience with event planning and coordination. - Strong interpersonal skills and a strong interest in well-being, inclusion, and accessibility. - Experience with development, implementation, and delivery of co-curricular activities - Ability to be both self-directed and coachable. - Thrive when working in teams and with people from a diverse range of experiences. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize work. - Excellent attention to detail. - Have an interest in learning about what individuals, schools, institutions, and societies can do to support the growth of a vibrant community both at Yorkville University and beyond. - Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). - _Advanced_ skills using social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) for student communications and outreach purposes. - Ability to exercise tact and sound judgment in dealing with others’ difficult issues. - Graphic design skills _highly_ desirable, but not required - This position _must_ be present on campus throughout the work week and able to work flexible hours.
