We are seeking an innovative and engaging full-time secondary educator. Teaching allocation will primarily focus on English language arts and the humanities.

**Responsibilities**
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Teach a mixed-age secondary classes (e.g. grade 7/8 split, 9/10 split) cohort using interdisciplinary, inquiry-based, and conceptual approach
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a programme of inquiry, including unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments based on the British Columbia (BC) curriculum
- Provide ongoing feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Document planning, implementing, learning, and evidencing of learning
- Monitor and support student academic, co-curricular, and personal growth through pastoral care, including leading or supervising a weekly co-curricular activity throughout the year.
- Engage in continuous professional learning
- Actively contribute to the school community by participating in events

**Qualifications and skills**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree or the equivalent preferred
- Should have, or be eligible to obtain, a teaching certificate from a Canadian province
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English; facility in French an asset
- Knowledge of inquiry-based and student-centred learning
- Experience in secondary teaching
- Experience teaching in Canadian and/or international schools
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational, communication, administrative, and interpersonal skills
