**A&O Care Solutions Inc.** is looking for a Developmental Support Worker that is committed to supporting children and youth in the Urgent Response Service (URS) to assist them reach their objectives.
**Qualification**
- College Diploma or a University Degree Developmental Services, Behavior science, Psychology, Criminology)
- Current Safe Management Training (SMG) and Crisis Intervention training (CIT/CPI) is REQUIRED.
- Experience working with children and youth with developmental disability and behaviour challenges.
- Experience working in home setting.
- Uphold a great degree of attention, empathy, and dedication.
- Carry out skill acquisition programs, individual behavioral protocols, facility-wide behavioral programs, and appropriate documentation completion.
- Have a working knowledge of task analysis, prompt fading, and behavior function identification.
- Ability to work with individuals from all backgrounds.
- Ability to work with a team
- Excellent verbal and Writing skills
- Self-driven and enthusiastic; open to acquiring and using new skills
- Available to work a rotating schedule.
- Current First-Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Complete all daily documentation requirements, including clinical documentation, completing behavioral data, checklists, and incident reports.
- Model appropriate behavior.
- Assist clients with their daily living activities. This includes personal hygiene, getting in and out of the shower, using the restroom, providing physical support, and taking part in leisure, work, and physical activities.
- Adhere to and carry out behavior support plans.
- Implement Behaviour Management Strategies based on Behaviour Support Plans.
- Engages with visitors and family members of residents both within the institution and during home visits.
- Maintain Rapport with clients and family.
- Advocate for clients’ needs.
- Engages with visitors and family members of residents both within the institution and during home visits.
- Foster an encouraging atmosphere to help clients reach their full potential.
- Provide clients experiencing a crisis with rapid response.
- Communicate with team members as needed.
- Engages with visitors and family members of clients both within the institution and during home visits.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
