**Job Summary**:
Caterpillar is seeking an Application Specialist at our Peck Tech facility in Montreal Qc. In this role, you will report to the Product Support Manager and will be primarily responsible for contributing to the development, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning of Peck Tech prototypes and products. Once installed, the Application Specialist will be responsible for post-processing and interpretation of the data and logs generated by the system, troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, propose and implement prototype solutions to those problems. The Application Specialist is not expected to take ownership of every step but will eventually be able to work on all of them with mínimal supervision. As a member of the Product Support team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team
**What you will do**:
- Field installation and commissioning of prototype solutions, Data Acquisition Units (DAUs), Drill Control Interfaces (DCI’s) and other future Peck Tech products
- Support customers in their integration of Peck Tech products.
- Post-processing and interpretation of data and system logs.
- Familiarization with customer sites to improve understanding of data and log context.
- Contribution to software and hardware design of Peck Tech products.
- Develop, update, and execute SW and HW solutions test plans.
- Contribute to writing technical documents and user manuals.
- Produce site Assessment documents.
- Integration with client’s networks, systems, databases and processes.
**Degree Requirement**:
University degree in Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Mining or similar vocational working background.
