**The Role**

We are seeking a **Regular Full-Time, Human Resources Manager (FTE 1.0).**Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager, supervises and mentors HR team members, acts as a strategic partner to EFW’s leaders, and leads and implements HR projects strategic initiatives aligned with overall EFW objectives. The HR Manager oversees talent acquisition strategies, HR programs, and manages health and safety programs. This role is also responsible for overseeing employee engagement programs, reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures, and managing education and development programs. The ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing demands, and lead proactive strategies is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals and support organizational culture.
- Partner with EFW leadership to anticipate and meet current and future HR needs.
- Lead key HR functions, including talent management, health & safety, and employee engagement.
- Support Health & Safety Committee.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving ongoing enhancements by collaborating with cross-functional teams and identifying HR service delivery opportunities, and constraints to implement innovative solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to HR incorporating relevant advancements into the department’s practices and processes.
- Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

**Leadership**
- Communicates department goals and objectives and establishes clear and realistic expectations to engage and inspire team members.
- Provides coaching, development and mentorship in day-to-day activities and responsibilities of the HR team and provides on-going support and guidance to the team as necessary.
- Manages performance of direct reports including motivating team members to achieve goals and objectives and holds them accountable to those goals. Conducts performance reviews; holds regular performance check-ins, and regularly communicates performance expectations for all direct reports.
- Creates a collaborative workplace that encourages employees to realize their potential and create a career with meaning.
- Recruits and retains a highly cohesive and engaged team including selection of new team members.

**You have the following**
- Holds CPHR designation and post-secondary education in human resources or equivalent;
- 8+ years progressive Human Resources experience, with 2+ years leadership experience. Experience working in the healthcare sector is considered an asset;
- Prior experience with HRIS software is required;
- Project management experience is a strong asset;
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience across all areas of Human Resources; a true HR generalist with an ability to also operate strategically;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport;
- Proven ability to coach and mentor leaders, helping them to build and refine their leadership and communication skills;
- Strong understanding of Alberta’s Employment Standards Code, Alberta Human Rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety regulations and code, and any other relevant compliance requirements to ensure HR and employment practices meet legal standards and mitigate risk;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, develop, and recommend plans to support strategic business activities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent capability for listening and consideration for alternative perspectives;
- Ability to facilitate positive change in the organization;
- Strong work ethic and ability to work openly and positively within a team environment;
- Ability to provide feedback and have and facilitate difficult conversations;
- Continuous learner who is passionate about keeping current in the HR profession

**Working Conditions**
- May be required to attend training/meetings outside of EFW regular business hours.
- This position is not eligible for overtime and incumbe
