This position is responsible for providing Human Resources (HR) generalist services in the functional areas of Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training and Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Communications within the Distribution Centres.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides leadership and consultation to Management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, salary and performance review, corrective action and documentation, recruitment and selection, coaching and development, and policy/legislation awareness.
- Ensures the maintenance of a positive labour relations climate through the development of policies and programs to improve employee satisfaction; the implementation of activities to assess climate/culture; the promotion of inclusive communication practices; and the resolution of employee issues through the effective use of investigation and counselling techniques.
- Actively participates in the department’s strategic plan by providing input and consultation on HR issues.
- Manages the recruitment, orientation and training planning processes within the established budget to ensure the appropriate level and quality of resources are in place.
- Ensures selection, transfer, and promotion processes are in place; develops cost-effective recruitment strategies; counsel Managers on selection and total compensation issues; identifying significant issues/trends and recommending changes as needed.
- Develops, sources and delivers training programs and provides advice and resources on training/education/career development options. Conducts training needs analysis where appropriate and ensure the tracking of all training/developmental activities
- Ensures effective and efficient administration in the areas of employee records and HRIS; compensation, benefits and pensions and other employment programs.

**Experience/Education**:

- Minimum of 5 years in Human Resources field as a Generalist/Business Partner in warehousing and distribution
- CHRP, CHRL Designation
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft office suite; advanced Word skills required
- Well, developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extremely organized, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
