With the ever increasing demand for support and service in the auto industry, our **HR Team** is looking for a **part-time Payroll Specialist** to join the team. **Responsibilities**: - Process payroll for employees for multiple payroll cycles, including calculating and verifying payroll data, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring timely and accurate payment. - Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure that all necessary documentation is filed and retained. - Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and work to address any issues or discrepancies. - Stay up to date on local payroll laws and regulations and ensure that all payroll processes and procedures comply with these requirements. - Work with other departments within the company, including accounting, to ensure that all payroll-related policies and procedures are being followed. - Prepare and file payroll-related tax forms and reports. - Continuously evaluate and improve the payroll process to increase efficiency and accuracy. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. - Experience in payroll processing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. - Knowledge of local payroll laws and regulations. - History working with complex bonus structures would be an asset. - Experience using payroll software, ADP is considered an asset. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. - Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent Part-time hours: 25 per week **Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour **Benefits**: - On-site parking Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - OTTAWA, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Payroll: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: One location
