About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join our Supply Chain (SC) department.
Reporting to Team Lead, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction in order to achieve the corporate objectives.
The Supply Chain Analyst will work directly with customers, overseas and local manufacturers, to coordinate supply. Along with working on day-to-day supply chain planning activities, the Analyst will ensure that Avnan’s customers are provided with the information they require to be successful.
Additionally, the Supply Chain Analyst will participate and drive supply chain solutions that will provide value to Avnan’s customer’s business.
**In this role, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for**:
On Time Delivery
- Prime contact with the factories, own on time to delivery/customer commit
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply factories and/or logistics
- Log customer delays and analyze trends for root causes
Forecast & Inventory
- Interact with sales, the customer, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers
- Review historical sales trends, understand the product, prepare forecast data
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
- Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
- Inventory, review component, and finish goods inventory levels and adjust to match current demand
- Developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
System & Data Accuracy
- Finish Goods P.O. - create, maintain accuracy, verify supplier invoice and receipt entry
- Jobs - create, maintain accuracy, verify supplier invoice/ inventory consumption and receipt entry
- Customer, Supplier and parts master data
- Component and finished goods inventory accuracy
Continuous Improvements
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects that reduce cost, improve performance and/or delight customers
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance, and work towards continues improvements of the KPIs
Account & Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with key customer contacts at designated accounts
- Proactively anticipate customer questions and plan ahead of time
- Tactfully probe to gather information regardless of customer issues and problems
- Work to resolve issues, utilizing internal departments as required
- Communicate clearly with customers to keep them updated on their order status and any changes that arise
- Develop a productive relationship with suppliers working toward a partnership
About You
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Material Management or Logistics
- CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, CSMA, CITT or P.Log complete or scheduled to complete within the next year
- Proficiency in Supply Chain concepts, APICS CPIM or equivalent certification is an asset
- Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or equivalent experience
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing, EMS, ODM or OEM is an asset
- Minimum 1 year experience in Forecast, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control or other Supply Chain roles
**Skills**:
- Able to review and setup supply chain management solutions and contracts
- Able to provide strong customer-facing supply chain support
- Suggest continuous improvement projects and lead small projects
- Able to write process and training documents
- Understanding SCM and ERP systems
- Basic understanding of electronic components familiar with manufacturing
- Strong communication skills (writer and spoken)
