Supply Chain Analyst

**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for executing optimal distribution of product to stores in support of front shop sales and profit targets. The Supply Chain Analyst will also be responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations to support supply chain planning and operational improvements. The incumbent will work closely with distribution partners, vendors, internal partners and stores to achieve in stock and service level targets.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Create product distributions to support Promotional Ads, Seasonal Events, Planogram Launches, New Store Openings, Off Shelf Displays, and open stock as required
- Develop and analyze supply chain critical metrics and works in conjunction with external vendors, distributors and the Supply Chain Manager to find opportunities and execute improvement plans
- Analyze and develop promotion projections for supply partners to support flyers and in store promotional activities
- Weekly review of supply issues and opportunities with category teams, vendors and supply partners
- Capture and interpret data to develop comprehensive reporting to support both internal and external decision making
- Consistently meet target product deadlines to ensure product availability on all promotional events
- Track delivery ETA’s to identify, resolve and communicate any potential delays & risks
- Coordinate delivery schedules with McKesson and other logistics service providers
- Investigate store inquires as it relates to their distribution orders, deliveries or returns and resolve any issues
- Roll up merchant sales forecasts for advertised items to support promotional purchasing decisions
- Provide stores with visibility to key advertised items to assist in the purchasing of product to support the event
- Generate standard and ad hoc reports for senior leadership and internal customers as required
- Meet corporate inventory management critical metrics in order to have a reliable and continuous supply while minimizing the level of weeks of supply & maximizing turnover
- Advise internal partners of risks with potential shortages and out of stock situations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain or other related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supply chain or retail organization
- Experience in retail industry is required, retail pharmacy is an asset
- Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Driven to improve processes and take initiative to highlight opportunities
- Detail oriented and able to balance multiple priorities in a faced-paced environment
- Strong business acuity and ability to see big picture while balancing details
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a collaborative environment and independently motivated
- Proven understanding of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word). Access skills would be preferable
