Job Summary

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately develop and compile the documentation, and implementation of effective controls, policies, and procedures
- Identify and drive process improvements
- Analyze results and clearly communicate key drivers of variances to prior year and plan numbers
- Partner with operations to ensure all revenue and costs are accurately recorded by division and by site
- Act as the focal person for monthly regional result reviews with Operation Management
- Assist in the financial performance growth through in-depth analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
- Assist in in the month end closing process where required - ensuring month end entries are processed accurately and on a timely basis
- Support the Finance team as coverage on tasks during system migrations and implementations
- Assist in the reconciliations between various billing systems and the ERP system to ensure data integrity
- Assist in performing forecasting, budgeting, and reporting tasks
- Participate in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
- Ad-hoc tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant business field (equivalent experience in Operations Finance at a transportation or logistics company considered an asset)
- Process documentation/mapping experience is an asset
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting
- Final stages in the CPA program
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Power Pivot) is essential
- Working knowledge of VENA is an asset
- Experience with ERP system is an asset. Knowledge of Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
- Problem solver with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player collaborating with others to drive to a solution
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of transportation management system (TMS) software is an asset
