**Job Title: Purchaser**

Reports to: Operations Manager

**Location: Cioffi's Wholesale**
- Job Purpose: The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality meat and deli products from both domestic and international suppliers, with a focus on importing products from Italy. They ensure timely delivery of goods, negotiate favorable terms, and manage vendor relationships to drive cost savings and increase profitability for the company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing and purchasing of meat and deli products from both domestic and international suppliers, with a focus on importing from Italy
- Negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and vendors
- Monitoring market trends to identify new and improved product options
- Maintaining accurate records of all purchases and ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Ensuring all purchased products are of high quality and meet the company's standards
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Monitoring stock levels and proactively managing inventory to prevent shortages
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and import/export laws
- Managing and tracking supplier performance, including resolution of any issues
- Overseeing the import process, including logistics, customs, and documentation
- Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing and procurement in the food industry, with experience in importing goods from overseas
- Strong negotiating skills and vendor management experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with import/export laws and regulations

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
