Located in Burnaby, BC in our purpose-built modern facility, we continue to solve problems and provide premium products to our customers all over the world with our global reach for sales, service and repair of power distribution, medium and high voltage motors, and generators.

We are currently looking for a **Purchaser **to join our team.

**What you will be doing**:
Some of the main responsibilities of the purchaser include:

- Carries out their duties in accordance with the Invitation to Order and Order to Remittance procedures and processes and reports to and is under the direction of the Manager, Shop Operations
- Handles all customer/vendor communication in an effective, efficient and positive manner
- Coordinates, dispatches, records and handles all aspects of purchasing needs
- Assists in month end reporting procedures
- Maintains strong relationship with Manager, Shop Operations, Controller & Customer Service
- Reports discrepancies within the Limits of Authority to the Manager, Shop Operations
- Executes his/her duties in accordance with the business priorities as set by the MSO
- Maintains strong relationship with peers, subordinates and communicates regularly
- Keep current with the company’s computer system and use the system in the course of performing work duties
- Assist in the coordination of the repair process among departments to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction
- Reports defects in Vendor compliance to the Quality Manager
- Actively participate in recommended course of actions to correct deficiencies
- Timely completion of Job File for billing purposes- Two working day turnaround
- No open PO’s
- File complete and returned to CSR with zero defects

**What we need from you**:

- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in a purchasing department
- Certificate as a professional purchaser, an asset
- Microsoft Office experience and knowledge of Accounting Software
- Maintains the highest level of Integrity and ethical practices
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to grow a strong company image with customers and vendors
