In this role, you assist the Beverage Manager in overall operations within the Beverage Department, overseeing all aspects of the daily operations ensuring quality service and presentation standards established by the Gateway are met. **Key Responsibilities**
- Manages the day to day operation of the Beverage Department, with a prime focus on guest experience is achieved at all times.
- Accountable for daily and monthly inventories.
- Ensures ongoing training and development through communication meetings and training sessions.
- Maintains and enhances morale and promotes a professional and fun team environment.
- Ensures service standards are maintained through on-board and on-going training.
- Keeps guest safety top of mind, by maintaining a clean, safe and hazard free environment, in compliance with Health and Safety policies.
- Conducts daily inspections of the Beverage facilities and equipment.
- Ensures departmental communication meetings are conducted regularly, and follows up to issues is completed in a timely manner,
- Effectively manages performance through focus on problem resolution, maintaining up-to-date records on performance, attendance, grooming, service deficiencies, schedules, labor costs/payroll, and late/absenteeism.
- Delivers on promises by meeting all deadlines on assigned tasks and the department’s annual strategic plan.
- Maximizes cost-control opportunities through optimal scheduling and maintenance of equipment.
- Seeks out creative ways to improve departmental profit by increased capture of covers, average check and performance management.
- Ensures that accurate daily and monthly inventories are conducted.

**What You Bring**
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a Beverage environment in a similar size operation.
- Education in a discipline related to Hospitality and/or Casino Operations Management.
- Ability to handle numerous tasks at any one time.
- Strong Organizational and business decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, professional appearance and demeanor with a progressive approach to management development.
- Result driven and team oriented, have superior leadership and unparalleled problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional guest development and interactive skills.
