**Role**:
The individual will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and issuing payment to suppliers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform the following accounts payable functions for all companies (Dunn-Rite Food Products, Carleton Hatcheries, Sunrise Livehaul MB): 1) receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services; 2) verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures; 3) prepare batches of invoices for data entry and enter invoices for payment; 4) manage the weekly cheque run and prepare vendor cheques for submission.
- Maintain vendor master files.
- Maintain an accurate and efficient filing system for accounts payable documents.
- Maintain and update the Accounts Payable control and policy manuals.
- Other accounting related duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of accounts payable and maintaining general ledgers.
- Ability to maintaina high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Very effective organizational skills and time management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is necessary.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent. Courses in Accounting or Business Administration are an asset. Accounts Payable Certification would also be an asset.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and/or an Accounting environment.
