Our test kitchens use commercial‑grade equipment to ensure product performance meets expectations, and we maintain long‑standing partnerships with family‑owned Canadian chicken farmers to produce high quality products.Role OverviewThe individual will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and issuing payments to suppliers.ResponsibilitiesPerform all accounts payable functions for Dunn‑Rite Food Products, Carleton Hatcheries, and Sunrise Livehaul MB: receive and verify invoices and requisitions; ensure compliance with financial policies; prepare batches for data entry; enter invoices for payment; manage weekly cheque run and prepare vendor cheques for submission.Maintain vendor master files.Maintain an accurate and efficient filing system for accounts payable documents.Maintain and update the Accounts Payable control and policy manuals.Other accounting related duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.RequirementsKnowledge of accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.High level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.Confidentiality regarding financial and employee files.Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Sound analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Effective organizational and time management skills.Attention to detail.Strong Excel skills.Grade 12 education or equivalent. Accounting or Business Administration courses are an asset; Accounts Payable Certification is also an asset.2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and/or an accounting environment.At Sunrise Farms we are proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
