**KAG Canada** If you want to contribute to KAG's excellent tradition of innovation and leadership in the logistics and transportation industry, we invite you to applyReporting to the Operations Manager, the Service Writer/Administrator is responsible for the daily operation within the Fleet Services function of our Toronto and Ottawa Terminals. In this role, you are expected to deliver on your objectives while supporting the Terminals in achieving the necessary results. The successful applicant should possess mechanical knowledge of highway tractors and trailers.**About the position**:

- Planning, organizing, and scheduling all aspects of maintenance including all regular preventative maintenance, tires, and equipment washing
- Review repair quotes and approve estimates as per company policy
- Mechanical knowledge to deal with equipment breakdowns and flexible to accept after hours calls
- Being aware of and responsible for ensuring Health & Safety standards are adhered to maintain a safe and productive workplace
- Responsible for communicating and coordinating with Operations for any equipment needed for repairs or maintenance
- Involved in the maintenance and general upkeep of facilities and applicable property
- Being innovative and open-minded to new philosophies and ideas to improve processes necessary to make the maintenance of the equipment as effective and efficient as possible
- Creating and maintaining a positive work environment
- Other duties as required

**What you bring**:

- The ability to plan and coordinate maintenance and possess and understanding of maintenance programs
- High degree of energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of SRT times within the transportation industry
- Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic, and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work
- Ability to maintain a professional and respectful composure in challenging situations
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral - bi-lingual an asset
- Good understanding of Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty, and good sound business judgement
- Previous experience with the Trimble Suite of maintenance software (TMT) would be an asset
- Red Seal or equivalent experience in Truck and Trailer repairs
- 2-3 year of supervisory experience
