Proposal Writer

As a Proposal Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating with our business development team and technical leaders to create captivating proposals for current and potential clients. Your responsibilities will encompass proposal writing, including layout, proofreading, and graphics design, as well as budget development and Request for Proposal (RFP) interpretation.  

You will also liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure that proposals are tailored to the RFP or specific requirements as outlined by our clients.  At the same time, you'll support the business development team by searching bid sites for new opportunities, qualifying proposal requests, and Client Relationship Management (CRM) administration.   

Your success in this role hinges on your exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to a consulting environment. You'll be responsible for writing proposals, social media, supporting administrative tasks, and collaborating on marketing efforts. Your agility in learning and communication will be crucial in this dual-focused position. 

There's a lot of variety in this work, and every proposal will present new challenges. There may be multiple ways to present a proposal to a client, so we encourage our team to think creatively and use their professional judgement. The work is engaging and fresh every day.

This full-time, position is hybrid with two days in our modern Mississauga office and offers flexible hours. Your impact matters more than clocked hours 

Qualifications

Here's our list of "must-haves:"

  • 1+ Years Proposal Experience preparing technical proposals
  • 1+ Year of Social Media management (preferably for business-to-business marketing)
  • Smart, Personable and Versatile
  • Experience in the Architecture Engineering Consulting industry
  • Adept at working in integrated, cross-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to remain focused and calm while concurrently managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines

Here are our "nice-to-haves:"  

  • Experience preparing budgets
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and/or Canva experience in a professional setting
  • College or University Degree in either Communications or Marketing
