**Digital Marketing Manager**

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and direction on all key pieces of digital marketing business, partnering with clients as an extension of their brand and pushing them beyond what they even imagined possible. They will work closely with the rest of the Sparks’ team to promote internal and external thought leadership while supporting new business and generating business growth. Their core responsibilities live within three areas of business; strategic leadership, digital marketing leadership and market insights/new business development.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Strategic Leadership
- Channel the vision for digital marketing services and assist in servicing our clients with the right digital solutions.
- Establish and implement best practice standards for how client KPIs are set during the new business phase and how they are subsequently reported once onboarded.
- Create and document effective processes and methodologies for the consistent delivery of digital marketing services and continually monitor and improve upon them in order to deliver greater profitability to Sparks and value to clients.
- Oversee the selection and adoption of marketing technologies for use with clients and Sparks’ internal marketing initiatives.
- Ensure collaborative workflow and integration with all Sparks’ team members to optimize the delivery of digital marketing services.
- Ensure that the Digital Marketing team deploys best-in-class strategy and execution of campaigns, continuously testing to improve ROI and achieve desired results.
- Act as a strategic consultant and partner in the on-boarding and management of the strategy product and top tier clients.
- Implement annual and quarterly marketing/media/tactical plans for high profile clients.
- Serve as a key member of the pitch team by developing and presenting digital marketing solutions during pitches.

Digital Marketing Leadership
- Act as a mentor within the DM discipline at Sparks by providing guidance, leadership, and contributing to professional development of the digital marketing team members.
- Collaborate with the executive team on digital marketing team hiring decisions.
- Manage DM tools budget and subscriptions; ensure Sparks is using the right mix of tools.
- Oversee media spend tracking across agency to ensure limited risk for Sparks
- Establish and understand digital marketing best practices for the agency, championing consistency in the execution of all tactics (help to formalize campaign naming taxonomy, link-tagging rules, QA process).
- Conduct internal “audits” of campaigns and strategies for clients across the agency and provide insights and strategic recommendations to the Account Directors.
- Act as administrator for Sparks ad accounts such as Google Ads, Facebook, Analytics, Pinterest, TikTok.
- Own media partner relationships including but not limited to Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, programmatic vendors.
- Earn and maintain agency certifications with key technology platforms and services (e.g. Google, Facebook, Amazon, Pinterest, Programmatic, etc).
- Attend and participate in the preparation and presentation of QBRs, strategic planning sessions etc.

Marketing Insights & New Business
- Analyze the outcomes and performance of campaigns, offering insights and impactful recommendations for clients.
- Provide creative digital marketing solutions to maximize return on investment, identifying opportunities of growth in existing accounts.
- Research emerging trends and opportunities in digital marketing and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the business development team on new business initiatives, identifying new ways to sell digital media to prospective clients.
- Attend new business meetings to provide digital marketing expertise and direction, project scope, strategy development and final quote sign-off.
- Research and discover new opportunities with various vendors, fostering a close relationship and representing the Sparks brand in a positive manner.

Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years in a digital marketing role.
- 2+ years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience with Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube), Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, SEO, and other core functions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams & managing department budgets.
- Experience in a relevant role involving media planning and marketing strategy.
- Digital marketing and social media experience (social media marketing, content marketing, SEO, SEM, Social Paid Advertising).
