Job Summary
Working closely with the Director of Revenue, the Revenue Manager has a key role in the achievement of the hotels’ budgeted rooms’ revenue. to implement revenue management strategies and processes in order to optimize and maximize hotel revenues. The incumbent works closely with the Director of Revenue, the sales teams, marketing, front desk employees and the hotel general manager in areas of promotion, and business planning.
Assists in creating promotional campaigns in order to generate business
Working closely with the Director of Revenue, forecasts future demand, pricing trends and past performance analysis
Compiles and analyzes daily, weekly and monthly data for all market segments
Maintains rate parity on all booking channels
Maintains and update necessary reports and historical data
Maintains and balance hotel inventory & rates daily in the PMS, CRS and external booking channels, with particular attention to yield management
Acts as a Key resource to the sales & catering team regarding rate strategies for group and transient business as well as catering
Group block management

- Participates in weekly revenue management meetings, reservations departmental meetings, bi-weekly sales meetings and hotel committees
Chairs weekly revenue meetings in the absence of the Director of Revenue
Assists Director of Revenue and liaise with various departments regarding required data analysis
Assists in preparing annual budgets
Inventory management

- Acts as a key resource for the marketing team for all hotel packages and external websites advertising

- Tracks and analyzes statistics related to call conversion, diversion and cost of booking
Periodically evaluates the prices of the competition and analyzes economic trends to determine the demand for hotel reservations based on tourism and business travel
Requirement

Previous Front Office experience is an asset
- Previous Hotel Reservations experience is an asset

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with expertise in excel

Post Secondary education in hospitality
