YOUR MISSION
We are looking for a Revenue Manager to join our growing team. We are a mid-size, privately owned company in the gaming and technology industry located in the core of Toronto offering a hybrid work opportunity.
The Revenue Manager oversees the process of collecting and organizing analytical data related to an organization's revenue, sales, and other financial activities. They will plan, approve, and supervise the deployment of systems and processes to manage and analyze financial data and other records. They will work closely with the financial management team and communicate financial information to senior-level directors and controllers. They may also be involved in various activities for a business, such as transactions, purchasing, and payroll.
Your mission is outlined in the following duties:
- Lead the month end close and consolidation process including preparing journal entries and ensuring the consolidated financial statements are properly prepared.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end financial statements along with corresponding notes.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis including investigating discrepancies and managing any issues.
- Perform P&L analysis comparing results to budget and analyzing cost fluctuations from month to month and year to year.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies/irregularities in revenue share reports and follow-up with the relevant parties.
- Support the year end audit process and deliverables.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements including documentation of controls
- Process financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepares, hosts, verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to Accounts Receivable
- Creates invoices to customers according to contractional terms.
- Participate in system implementation and accounting integration through data migration and testing and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of GL data.
- Prepare regular updated weekly cashflow reports for management.
- Work with bookkeeper on processing of various transactions
- Communicating financial information to senior-level managers
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.
- Review and reconcile revenue information for accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting on the revenue generated by a company or organization.
- Work with sales teams to track sales figures, monitor inventory levels, and ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for.
- Assist management with ad hoc audit requests, reports, and process documentation.
YOUR PROFILE
- 5-7 years relevant experience or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Designated or working toward accounting professional (CPA, CA preferred) with financial reporting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Self-starter, professional, self-confident, and organized.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently an as part of a team.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial spirited, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
- Use their analytical skills to analyze data and information for the revenue process.
- Use their attention to detail to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of data and information.
- Must have strong ability with numbers and data analysis skills.
- Must have leadership experience and be able to manage the duties.
- Must have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
